Session summary
Session one of Mastering the periodic table in homeopathic practice began with an introduction of David Johnson as a critical and valuable contributor to the knowledge base of applying the knowledge and understanding of the periodic table in homeopathic practice.
David helped the students navigate the first session of an especially novel and complex subject with much simplicity. He started with the fundamentals of the periodic table, its origins, its evolution in the Hahnemannian and post-Hahnemannian era, the different models of the periodic table and concluded with an interactive exercise to test the learning of students. He spoke at length about the model that helped him evolve his system of study of the periodic table in homeopathic practice.
The concept of using the periodic table in homeopathic practice depends largely on identifying the deep patterns of human expression; its origin from trauma, genetics, experiences, etc. and applying this knowledge to match the patterns in the periodic table and then prescribe a remedy. What is surprising is that most people are not consciously aware of these patterns; here’s where the homeopath’s interviewing technique facilitates it to the surface.
Rows of the periodic table form the stages and the columns form the series. He explained the basic concept of series 1 through 3 of the periodic table in details. He also taught the students the concept of synthesizing a compound prescription like Kali Brom, Natrum Ars etc, pictorally.
